Common fault cause analysis table

Fault phenomenon

Possible causes

Removal method

The actual flow rate of the electromagnetic flow meter is shown to be zero

1The actual flow direction of the fluid is opposite to the direction indicated by the sensor

Change direction of sensor installation

2Electrode signal to ground short circuit

Damage or break of signal cable insulation

3No excitation current

The excitation cable is broken or damaged

4The electrode is completely covered by insulation

Clean the electrode and remove the covering

The actual flow of the electromagnetic flow meter is stable and the indication value is unstable

1The measured fluid is not filled with a measuring tube

Change the position and manner of sensor installation so that the fluid is filled with the measuring tube

2The fluid under test contains more bubbles or oil

Remove bubbles or oils

3Sensor ground fault

Sensor grounding

4The electrode is heavily covered by insulation

Cleaning electrode

5The power supply is unstable and the interference is large

Separate power supply or anti interference stabilized power supply

6There is a strong interference device nearby

Change installation location to avoid interference sources

The pressure transmitter and the density sensor are not displayed or unstable

1Is the input voltage switched on?

Reconnect voltage

2Input voltage positive and negative connection

Changing voltage plus or Minus Voltage

3Sensor bad

Replace sensor

The pressure transmitter and the density sensor display very large and do not change

1 Sensor bad

Replace sensor

The pressure transmitter and the density sensor display unstable or almost zero

1 Is the sensor joint sealed?

Re seal
